{UAH} This is hard truth

Columbus also became the reason we knew there was an American Continent we could emigrate to- for perhaps a chance at greater equality and a reason to celebrate but oh, my so sad for our native population and not right.

Also due to the fact that teachers have made him out to be a hero for decades. Children grow up learning poems about his voyage and not about the small pox infested blankets he gave to native Americans.

Also, that is why the west is ignoring the ongoing killing, imprisoning and disenfranchizing of the indigenous inhabitants of historic Palestine at the hand of Israelis who mostly came from Europe.
