{UAH} Uganda has commissioned a fumigation and treated mosquito net distribution exercise at Nakawa market

Government of Uganda has commissioned a fumigation and treated mosquito net distribution exercise at Nakawa market in an event overseen by the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Health, Dr. Diana Atwine .

This is one of the measures to prevent Malaria during the on going lockdown, as market vendors sleep in the market at night in the areas of Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono.

The fumigation team will also ensure that all foods are covered to avoid contamination with the chemicals.

The fumigators will target bushes and stagnant water around the markets.
